Our story:

Caritas College Instructors

Caritas College was founded with an innovative spirit and two lofty objectives: Firstly, to relieve suffering by improving nursing practical skills in lower limb health management. Secondly, to improve client outcomes by teaching soft practice skills to nurses which would ultimately lead to enhanced and changed clinical practice.

Deeply concerned about nurses’ struggle to succeed as practical care providers, critical thinkers, and managers either in public or independent practice, Marion and Bruce Coomber are on a mission to ensure that every professional nurse or allied healthcare specialist has an opportunity to receive effective professional development through engaging and deep learning approaches that encourage excellence for the best clinician and patient outcomes.

With over 80 years of combined working experience in clinical practice and professional education, business, and leadership experience, we understand how it feels to be overworked, frustrated, and lacking the knowledge and support you need to effectively care for your clients.  We are passionate about providing you with evidence-based and elevated best practices that address gaps in the quality healthcare services you want to provide.

We believe in education that is accessible, engaging, and innovative. And we believe that your professional development should be done around your home, family, and work commitments and not the other way around. It should also be fun! Online and live practical courses with Caritas College mix interactive and entertaining clinical learning with guided independent study.

We offer courses in effective nurse leadership, critical thinking, entrepreneurship, and becoming an advanced foot care specialist, providing you with the opportunity to not only change your own professional life but save the lives and, where applicable, the limbs of others.

By the time you’ve completed our advanced foot care and lower limb health course, you’ll have gained life-saving knowledge that will help relieve the pain and suffering of your senior, diabetic and renal patients who endure lower limb health issues. You will also have valuable leadership skills to take your career to greater heights. As a Nurse Foot Care Specialist, you’ll be able to practice skills in a variety of settings or become an entrepreneur and enter independent practice.

Our Effective Leadership in Nursing program will give all professional nurses the skills needed to become competent supervisors and exceptional leaders.

As a nurse entering independent practice for yourself in whichever specialty of your choice, you’ll have the tools and the skills to navigate the ups and downs of a business in a healthcare start-up.
