Our story:

Caritas College Instructors

Caritas College was founded with an innovative spirit and a lofty objective: to relieve suffering and prevent people from unnecessarily losing limbs due to a lack of understanding around the importance of lower limb health.

Haunted by a neighbour who lost her leg due to diabetic complications and was too embarrassed to seek help, founders and instructors Marion and Bruce Coomber are on a mission to ensure that every professional nurse receives effective professional development using a holistic approach that encourages acceptance and adherence to care plans in these types of situations.

As nurses with over 50 years of combined working experience in clinical practice and professional education, we understand how it feels to be overworked, frustrated, and lacking the knowledge and support to effectively treat your patients.  We are passionate about providing safe and responsible best nursing practices that address a gap in nursing services already being provided.

We believe in education that is accessible, engaging and innovative. And we believe that education should be done around your home and work commitments and not the other way around. Online and on-campus courses with Caritas College mix interactive and entertaining clinical learning with guided independent study.

We offer courses in leadership, entrepreneurship and becoming a foot care specialist, providing you with the opportunity to not only change your life, but save others.

By the time you’ve completed our courses, you’ll have gained life-saving knowledge that will help relieve the pain and suffering of your patients and valuable leadership skills to take your career to greater heights. As a Nurse Foot Care Specialist, you will be able to practice skills in a variety of settings or become an entrepreneur and enter independent practice – giving you freedom over your schedule and the opportunity to be your own boss.
